Background

Concrete Canvas® (CC5^™) was used to provide erosion protection to a slope that leads to an electrical pylon. The erosion was a result of environmental weathering, predominantly rainfall, causing surface slip which threatens to destabilize the bank. A rapid solution was required to mitigate this issue. Hence, 630 m² of Concrete Canvas® was installed on a 8.5 m high slope. Since the site was also difficult to access with plant equipment, the use of Concrete Canvas® was logistically much easier because bulk rolls can be transported easily by hand and cut into required lengths.
