FORTA-FERRO® Synthetic Fibres
Background
FORTA-FERRO® is a macro-synthetic fibres that is able to replace BRC in non-suspended slabs, its fibre characteristics contribute to long-term durability and crack control performance. The fibres were used specifically for a pedestrian walkway towards BIBD ATM Drive-thru. This will save time and cost for the contractor, minimizing shrinkage related cracking and doesn’t compromise the integrity of the concrete.
Aside from reducing and controlling shrinkage and temperature cracking, FORTA-FERRO® are able to reduce slab curling and increases post-crack performance.
