Background

Due to the fear of severe erosion at the Defence Academy surau nearby, TenCate Polyfelt® Polymat EM 4 Green were used to protect the slope surface. The mat was anchored at the crest of the slope and secured to the top surface using pins at about 1 m spacing. The mat was later being filled in with top soil. The 3-D structure of Polymat EM 4 provide immediate soil erosion protection and contained the top soil for vegetation growth that can further protect the slope from erosion.
