Geofabrics Megaflo®, Maccaferri Gabions, TenCate Enviromat® Geosynthetic Clay Liner & Polyfelt® TS Nonwoven Geotextile
Megaflo® panel subsoil drain was installed in parallel to the existing surface drain and at 5m spacing perpedicular and connected to the existing surface drain’s weep holes. This Megaflo® drainage system allows any excess water to divert and remove, reducing the hydrostatic pressure in the trench. Additionally, Enviromat® Geosynthetic Clay Liner was placed underneath to prevent any excess water from seeping the ground further. Gabions was utilised to remediate the erosion under the fence with Polyfelt® TS non-woven geotextile placed at the rear of gabions enabling the separation fine particles and the filtration of water presence.
Megaflo®‘s properties of high compressive strength, longitudinal stiffness and structural rigidity allows the drain to withstand placement in a deep trench preventing it from buckle or crush when backfilling.
Gabions cage engineered from double twisted hexagonal woven steel wire mesh filled with stones formed into modular units provide excellent solutions for erosion protection.
Enviromat® Geosynthetic Clay Liner acts as an effective barrier layer against liquid migration and in limiting the seepage of liquids and TS nonwoven geotextile provide ideal solution for filtration and separation functions.
